Here’s the quote from the fax that Chris in the U.K. Received from them, “Please be informed that your Alto Sax #03803437 was made by us, Yanagisawa Wind Instruments Co. Ltd, Tokyo, Japan in April of 1980, and its model number is A-600. A-600 model were made only 50 pieces, and it is a standard model like A-901. The WT4901/WT8 901 serial number is only used when the indoor siren is enrolled and powered up. Enrolling the WT4901/WT8901 permits it to communicate with the control panel. The installer can activate the indoor siren by Quick Enrollment or Serial Number Programming, see below. NOTE: Make sure the Keypad is set up before activating the indoor. Yanagisawa tenor sax. Professional model T990U Serial number: 00205XXX All the pads are good and no leak. Just return from service/adjustment. This tenor saxophone is playing up and down and from top to bottom. Horn has no dents. Or dings, but there are light scratches near the serial number, neck strap ring, and bottom of bell bow. Trying to determine the yr built....Bose 901
I'm trying to find the year my Bose were made. Nothing on the Bose site......anyone know of a site that could help? Their serial #115661. I may part with them and would like to give as much info as possible when the time comes.

I believe you have to cut one in half and count the rings This may be funnier if I actually had a better answer. Have you tried emailing Bose the serial number to see if they still have the record?

I called CS and they said that prior to 2001 there's no way to tell when speakers were actually made. remarkable isn't it? 2001 to date the serial #'s will give the date made. So mine were made somewhere between 1987 and 2000. Thanks for your help.
